After
recently launching the most affordable smartphone with a triple-lens rear camera
-- Galaxy A7 (2018), Samsung today launched the world's first smartphone with
quad-lens rear camera system. Dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy A9, it comes with a
four-lens rear camera setup which offers a total of 47MP.

As far as the different lenses in the camera is the concerned, the Galaxy A9 comes with 24MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture along with a 5MP sensor for depth effect with an aperture of f/2.2. There is an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor offering up to 120-degree viewing angle along with a 10MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and supports up to 2X optical zoom. In total, the Samsung Galaxy A9 comes with 24MP+10MP+8MP+5MP or 47MP quad-lens rear camera.
When compared to the triple-lens setup of the Galaxy
A7(2018), the new Galaxy A9 offers an additional 10MP telephoto lens with f/2.4
aperture and 2X optical zoom.
While most dual-lens cameras in Android smartphones simply offer bokeh effect, the two extra lenses in the Galaxy A9 aims to offer optical zoom and 120-degree wide-angle depth of field.

options. Both the devices come with 128GB of internal storage and supports up
to 512GB microSD card.
On the front there is a 24MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The device runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, Samsung Pay (NFC) among other regular connectivity options. On the security front, there is a fingerprint scanner on the back. The device also supports Face Unlock.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 will be available in Black, Blue and Pink colour options in November.
