Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Review
Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is one
of those phones that got strong interest from the consumers after its
announcement and before its release. A very important to consider for the
Bangladeshi users is that Redmi Note 7 comes in two different versions:
The China Version and The India Version. They have a few differences in the
features. The most important of that is that the China version has a 48+5 MP
back camera and the India version has 12+2 MP back camera. The usual case is
that only the India version is released in Bangladesh.
Those who were interested about the 48 MP camera of the Chinese version should know that it is also a 12 MP actual camera, but the pro mode allows 48 MP shots. There is a bit of tweak in the technology that allows slightly higher details and dynamic range than the regular shots with 12 MP, but the difference is not very significant. After all, megapixel is just a small fact of many facts about a camera. When it comes to the overall quality of the camera it is quite adequate for the price. The shots should look clear, authentic and it is a fair deal for the price. The 13 MP front camera of Redmi Note 7 is pretty decent in this cost range as well.
The so-called water droplet full-view display of Redmi Note 7 looks very elegant and one of the most preferred designs of the current market. Both front and the back sides are protected by strong 5th generation Gorilla Glasses. The gradient colors look shiny and premium whereas the black version looks minimal and elegant. The Full HD+ display quality is pretty good as well with an eye-care mode, sunlight mode, night mode and so on. The body can tolerate water splashes and it is a good device against dust and fingerprints because of the 2i nanocoating. Overall, design and display are some of its strong positives.
The battery is a 4000 mAh one with 18W quick charge 4 support which is even faster than a 15W fast charging solution. Overall, very good backup and very fast charging. But a regular 5V/2A charger is included in the box so a fast charger has to be bought separately to use the fast charging feature. Optimized Snapdragon 660 AIE chipset should provide smooth performance and is an excellent deal for the cost. The 4 GB version instead of the 3 GB one is the better choice if performance and graphics related tasks are in the priority. But 3 GB should work just fine for any day to day tasks.
Some other features of Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 are Infrared remote control, FM radio with recording, OTG, decent sound quality, fast fingerprint and face unlock etc. Overall, it is a good value for the money with excellent design, smooth performance and strong, durable body.
